Good Day, Ladies and Gentlemen.

My name is Lt. Siegfried Sassoon, of the Royal Welch Fusiliers.  I have lead men into battle many times, and have been dubbed "Mad Jack" by my compatriots for daring, some say suicidal, late night raids on enemy trenches.  I have recieved the Military Cross "For conspicuous gallantry during a raid on the enemy's trenches", and have been nominated, unsuccessfully, for the Victoria Cross.

I have served my country as bravely and patriotically as I could, yet despite all of this, my own government has branded me neurasthenic, while others still call me a traitor and a coward and wish to have me executed for my treason.  All of this because I did what I felt was right.  I had too.  I couldn't stay silent any longer.

How did I get here?  How did WE get here?
